Fresh Expressions encourages new forms of church for a fast changing world, working with Christians from a variety of denominations and traditions. The initiative has resulted in hundreds of new congregations being formed alongside more traditional churches.
All over the country church leaders are drawing together groups of key individuals to encourage fresh expressions of church across a wider area. These groups are called FEASTs (Fresh Expressions Area Strategy Teams).
In the South East two Feasts have been established, one working in Kent and the other in Sussex and Surrey. The teams agree together to:
• Encourage prayer for fresh expressions to emerge and for the strategy as a whole;
• Provide training for fresh expressions;
• Resources fresh expressions;
• Map fresh expressions;
• Identify and support pioneers
The District is represented on these FEASTs by Rev Graham Horsley.
